Review FIFA 12 xbox

Fifa 12 - It will make you laugh and cry!!
I haven't played a Fifa game for about 4 years (preferring usually the Pro Evolution franchise) but this year I decided to give it a whirl owing to ever more positive reviews for EAs footy installments. When I first started playing I was very happy about a number of things, and, unhappy about some others. This review does not include online play, I am only reviewing what...

VS

Multiplayer excellent, single player frustrating
For me, the basic mechanics of the gameplay in FIFA 12 are probably the best they've been in the FIFA series for some time. The passing and movement is a lot sharper, especially if you speed up the gameplay in the settings menu. It's about as close to old school PES as the Xbox has got in my opinion.

While playing friends is great, however, I really find...

Review Wireless Controller - Black (Xbox 360)

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 | 0 comments

This is the pad that comes with the slim console
This is the 360 pad that comes with the slim console. The distinguishing feature is the black d-pad rather than a grey circular one. Overall it feels more comfortable than the original 360 pad, but the most noticeable improvement is the d-pad. The directions are more defined, with rigid edges which aren't as slight as the original, and the d-pad doesn't slide around like...

VS

 HARDER
the pad that came with my console the LB button was not working properly i had to press it really hard for it to register, now having received this new pad the D pad down button is not working properly and i have to press this down very hard for it to register, the quality control is rubbish...

Review Xbox 360 with Kinect: Includes Kinect Adventures

Monday, May 28, 2012 | 0 comments

it's Awesome
This one is a real gem...I would much better than Wii and the PS3 Motion sensor..as I have used both..Kinect works really well and provides much better user experience than any other console..HATS OFF TO MICROSOFT...

I bought this one a few days abck and the 4gb models works really well..I am not sure why people wants to spend extra £50 and get the 250gb one...

VS

 4GB Warning
It's a fantastic console, and Kinect is awesome too...HOWEVER, do not expect to play a few multiplayer games online with friends, as there is NOT ENOUGH SPACE in the 4gb hard drive to play online. Instead, spend a little more cash and buy the 250gb version.

Review Xbox LIVE Gold 12-Month Membership Card (Xbox 360)

Sunday, May 27, 2012 | 0 comments

Essential
Xbox live is probably one of the best things about owning an Xbox 360. The system is so effective that I'd have been happy even if the visual capabilities of the console weren't so good.
So what's so great about Live then? Well, for anyone who's played PC games online, you'll know that you have to create an account for every single one of...

VS

Best way to join is through Amazon
There are a large number of reviews out there of XBox Live Gold written by serious and dedicated gamers of which I am most certainly not one. However, Microsoft are clearly trying to expand the capabilities of the XBox beyond that of the gaming community as the recent changes to the XBox dashboard have shown and which will, I suspect, be greatly enhanced by the...

Xbox 360 4GB
The New 4GB Xbox 360 console has had a lot of improvements from the older generations of Xbox's. Microsoft seem to have really done good job.

Firstly the fans are a lot quieter which is surprisingly noticeable as they are incredibly quiet.
Secondly their are lots of air vents around the body to give better ventilation so their is going to be no more...

Xbox 360 4 gb - fun but beware
Firstly - still have original xbox with a number of games.
Then bought PS3 - which developed fault in motherboard, which meant no internet connection for upgrades etc. Too expensive to fix.

So went to shop and asked about xbox 360 - 4Gb cheaper - so asked what difference was - assistant said if only for game saves and playing games 4 Gb was plenty, and usb...

Review Xbox 360 320GB Star Wars Kinect Console with Kinect Star Wars - Limited Edition (Xbox 360)

Thursday, May 24, 2012 | 0 comments

The Force is strong with this one.
As a keen Xbox gamer and a Star Wars fan, this was a must-have for me. I have to say I wasn't disappointed. What you get is, basically, a slim Xbox 360 with a custom paint job, custom power up/down and disc eject/close sounds, a 320Gb HDD and a blue power light. Also included is a gold C-3PO themed controller, (which is very nice, but shows fingerprints really badly so...

Great console but...
I have had two of these consoles, both of which developed a problem whilst setting up for the first time. When running the required update for Xbox Live something went wrong and the consoles were left not recognising they had built in wireless wifi. When you try to connect wirelessly after this a message appears to connect a wireless adapter. I have contacted Microsoft...

Stunning graphics and very easy to set up!
I must first say that I am NOT a gamer and until recently had no interest in playing games through my TV. Have always stuck to chess on my PC. Having watched my son play a few games on his bedroom "machine" (not sure what he has got!) I decided to take the plunge. At 50 I wish I had taken the plunge sooner!! The graphics on the games are simply amazing and it would..

Review Splitfish FragFX Shark Wireless Controller (Xbox 360/PC/Mac)

Fragfx shark review
Okay, so been playing with it for a few days now, I am not really used to a mouse but I wanted to see if I could improve my accuracy and it works!!! I am on my target faster than I could normally be with a controller, (which says something because I am really good with a controller). I think anyone who is good with a mouse to begin with would blow controller based...

Buying your way to playing better
This is essentially buying the ability to out play people who play using controllers (you know, the way you're supposed to). No different from buying a modded controller.

If you want to play FPS games with a mouse do it on a PC where it will at least be even playing ground. This is just sad.

Review GameOn HDMI 2m Cable - Black (Xbox 360/PS3)

I have previously purchased 2 gameon hdmi cables and needed another. This is not the same item. It arrived in a grey bag without any packaging, the previous ones were in a blister pack and there was no paperwork with it at all which is very unusual. The cable itself is different to the originals which have a fabric covering. That said, it works. I bought it to hook my ipad 2 up to my hd tv and it does that. I cannot comment on how well it would work with a gamestation as haven't tried it with those but the originals are brilliant with both our ps3 and xbox 360. So, not as described but does do the job.

More info....
